We are so delighted to announce that this August we’re celebrating 10 years of Ear Trumpet Labs! In summer 2011, in a messy basement of miscellaneous hardware parts, electrical components, oscilloscopes, and stringed instruments, Philip Graham decided to turn his microphone tinkering into a full time job. With the generous support of artists and the music community, we’ve been able to grow into a bustling workshop of 6 workers building and sending mics all over the world. We are excited to celebrate with the artists who have been there for us every step of the way!
New merch, special edition microphones, and other exciting things will be happening throughout the month, so be sure you’re following us on social media and stay tuned. Tag us and use the hashtag #10YearsofETL to celebrate with us!

As we reflect on our origin story, it’s clear that starting and building Ear Trumpet Labs was far easier for me than it would be for many people in our community with equally good ideas. Resources and support matter, and our whole community is elevated when there aren't arbitrary an unfair barriers to building a business. With that in mind, we’ll be donating 100% of our profits for the last 10 days of August to MESO, Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon, a non-profit whose mission is to elevate and empower historically excluded and under resourced entrepreneurs with tailored business assistance and flexible capital to build family wealth through small business ownership.
